Iran president cites ‘contradiction’ in US pressure and diplomacy

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said there is a growing contradiction between the United States pursuing diplomacy while maintaining pressure measures, including a blockade, in remarks during a call with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. "The contradiction has increased the level of mistrust [in Washington] among the Iranian people and officials of the Islamic Republic," the president was quoted by Press TV as having said.
