Centcom says US shot down Iranian radars and drones near Strait of Hormuz

US Central Command (Centcom) said American forces shot down four Iranian attack drones that were launched towards the Strait of Hormuz, describing the aircraft as an immediate threat to regional maritime traffic. In a statement posted on X, Centcom said US forces subsequently struck Iranian coastal surveillance radar sites in Goruk and on Qeshm Island “to defend against further attacks”.
