The Sudanese Armed Forces are the national military of Sudan, led by General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan. Since April 2023, the SAF has been fighting the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in a devastating civil war. The SAF controls portions of eastern Sudan and the strategic port city of Port Sudan, which has become the de facto seat of government.
