IRGC: US drone conducting ‘hostile operation’ shot down

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it shot down a US MQ-1 drone after it entered Iranian territorial waters and allegedly attempted to conduct a “hostile operation”. In a statement carried by Iranian state broadcaster IRIB, the IRGC said the drone “attempted to carry out a hostile operation” and “was immediately detected and targeted by the Revolutionary Guard’s modern defence missiles and shot down”.
