Venezuela : Almost 4 , 500 killed in quake , many more missing

Venezuelan National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez announced plans for temporary housing for families displaced by the June 24 earthquakes, which have killed at least 4,490 people, with the UN estimating 50,000 still missing. The government is allocating land for new homes and has requested the release of Venezuela's gold reserves from the Bank of England and assets from the IMF to fund reconstruction efforts.
