UN peacekeepers say strike violated Lebanon’s sovereignty
The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (Unifil) expressed “heartfelt condolences” to the families of the Lebanese army personnel killed in an Israeli attack in the Nabatieh area of southern Lebanon. In a post on X, Unifil said such attacks on Lebanese territory constitute “gross violations” of Lebanon’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
