Syria's General Authority of Ports and Customs seized a weapons shipment hidden inside an oil tanker-truck at the al-Tanf border crossing with Iraq on Thursday, the state news agency SANA reported. The shipment included long-range missiles, rockets, and drones, according to the authority. Citing sources from Syria's Interior Ministry, SANA said preliminary investigations indicated the arms were meant for Hezbollah in Lebanon, transiting through Syrian territory to the city of Baniyas. Hezbollah denied the accusation, calling it a "fabricated narrative".
