Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin has forfeited the opportunity for a favorable diplomatic exit from the war by refusing direct negotiations with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Sybiha asserted that Russia will ultimately be compelled to accept a peace settlement on terms significantly less advantageous than those available previously.
