What Happened

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on X that Ukrainian defence forces used a range of Ukrainian long-range weapons, including Flamingo, Palianytsia and Pelican, during an overnight attack on the Moscow region. Zelenskyy said one of Russia's key oil industry plants and a logistics facility in the Moscow region were hit, and that the weapons used were FP-1, RZ-100, MICH-2000, Palianytsia, Vendetta, Liutyi, Bars, Flamingo, Sichen and Pelican. He said the operation involved the Security Service of Ukraine, Unmanned Systems Forces, Special Operations Forces, Defence Intelligence of Ukraine and the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, and that one facility in Russia's Voronezh Oblast was also hit, without providing further details. Earlier, a large-scale drone attack was reported over Moscow and Moscow Oblast. A major fire apparently broke out at the Sofyino logistics technopark and the oil refinery in Kapotnya; the Moscow Oil Refinery's AVT-6 unit was reportedly hit. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said the Russian capital had come under its largest drone attack to date.
