On Monday, Israeli settlers and far-right activists protested outside the British consulate in occupied East Jerusalem, calling for its closure after the United Kingdom announced sweeping sanctions on trade linked to illegal Israeli settlements. The protest was organised by Arieh King, a dual British-Israeli citizen, far-right settler and head of the United with Arieh King faction on the Jerusalem municipal council.
