Israel says killed several Hezbollah fighters in south Lebanon

The Israeli military (IDF) said on Saturday that it killed several Hezbollah fighters overnight inside what it called a 'security zone' in southern Lebanon, an area its forces occupy. The IDF stated that the fighters were identified, struck, and eliminated 'in order to remove the threat.' One Israeli soldier was moderately injured and evacuated to hospital. Hezbollah, contacted by AFP, did not comment and has not claimed any attacks since June 20.
