An Israeli air strike on a taxi in the Sabra neighbourhood of Gaza City on Tuesday killed Mohammed al-Wahidi, 57, a senior member of Egypt’s main aid organisation, the Egyptian Relief Committee, along with three others. Medics said two siblings aged 10 and 8, passers-by, were among the dead. The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights identified the fourth victim as Ahmed Jehad Rajab Doghmosh, 30, who was also inside the taxi. Two Egyptian security sources said al-Wahidi was tasked with logistics at the committee, which serves as the relief arm of the Egyptian government in Gaza, and that a senior Egyptian official raised his death with Israel, denouncing the killings and obstruction of aid work. Since a ceasefire was agreed on 10 October 2025, Israel has continued air strikes in Gaza, killing at least 1,092 Palestinians and wounding more than 3,507 during the ‘ceasefire,’ according to the Gaza Health Ministry.
