Conflict Trend : Civil wars , international fights hit high

A new report from the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO) found that 65 state-involved conflicts were recorded globally in 2025, a high not seen since 1946, with 2025 also marking the third deadliest year for conflict since the Cold War. The report, based on Uppsala Conflict Data Program figures, highlights a doubling of interstate conflicts to eight and a significant increase in civilian-targeted deaths, driven by ongoing wars in Ukraine, Sudan, and Gaza.
