Avigdor Liberman warns Benjamin Netanyahu may launch military op . amid coalition crisis

Avigdor Liberman, leader of the opposition Yisrael Beytenu party, warned on Thursday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may launch a military operation solely for electoral purposes amid a coalition crisis triggered by disagreements over the haredi draft bill, which could advance elections to September or mid-October. Liberman, speaking at Kibbutz Be'eri near Gaza, also alleged that Hamas is rearming in the Strip and that Israeli government funding is enabling the group's reconstruction, criticizing Netanyahu's failure to achieve what he terms "decisive victory."
