Arab Israelis face dual threat of war and rising violent crime

Arab Israelis faced dual threats during the recent war: Iranian ballistic missile strikes and endemic violent crime, with only 37 of 12,000 public shelters located in Arab towns and villages, and 41% of Arab citizens lacking home protection compared to 11% of Jewish Israelis. The disparity reflects years of government neglect in planning and construction permits for Arab communities, according to activists and civil rights organizations documenting the vulnerability gap.
